Move In Day Volunteers 2024 - Form Builder

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to assist with New Student Move In. New Student Move-In Day is Wednesday, August 14, 2024. We are will looking for volunteers to assist new students move their belongs from their car(s) to their respective rooms, directing traffic at essential locations, and guiding families to long term parking. Move In will occur between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Whether you are signing up as an individual or an organization, please fill out the registration with the appropriate information to help us account for all possible volunteers for New Student Move-In Day. If you are signing up an organization, the individual listed as the liaison will receive follow up information. Only Truman-affiliated organizations, students, faculty and staff are permitted to assist with Move-In. Again, thank you! We appreciate your individual and/or organization’s assistance.

Organziations Only: Estimated Number of Volunteers willing to assist with duties. All individuals planning to assist with Move In Day are required to attend in person training prior to move in.

By expressing interest in volunteering, you understand:

Students assisting with Move In Day responsibilities that live in the Residence Halls may be considered for Early Move In. Expense for this will be at the individual student's expense, and assessed on their student account.
You are NOT to distribute personal or organizational information or products, such as water bottles, business cards, and other giveaways. Individuals or groups/organizations found doing so may be asked to leave or prevented from assisting in the future.
Individuals will adhere to health and safety measures that the University has in place this day.
Not all individuals or organizations that express interest will be utlized. Shifts will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Recognized Student Organizations must be in good standing with U&I in order to assist.
I will recieve follow up information no less than one week prior to Move In.
Any individual planning to assist on this day will be required to attend one training session that will be held on: Monday, August 12th - 3 PM and 4 PM; Tuesday, August 13th - 9:30 AM, 2 PM and 6:30 PM. Anyone volunteering must attend one session.
